The BBC is set to premiere "Celebrity Traitors UK" in autumn 2025, a celebrity edition of the popular reality series "The Traitors." Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the show will feature 19 well-known personalities competing in a murder-mystery format.
Filming took place at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, with production concluding in May 2025. The series comprises nine episodes, set to air over three weeks. The contestants include comedian Alan Carr, singer Paloma Faith, actor Stephen Fry, and television presenter Clare Balding, among others.
In the game, celebrities start as "Faithfuls," with a few secretly chosen as "Traitors" aiming to deceive the rest. Through various missions, they build a prize fund of up to £120,000, with the goal of winning up to £100,000 for charity. Regular "banishments" and "murders" add suspense, culminating in either the Faithfuls or a remaining Traitor claiming the prize.
The cast also includes historian David Olusoga, former England rugby player Joe Marler, and television presenter Jonathan Ross. Filming began in April 2025, and fans can anticipate plenty of deception, strategy, and entertainment in this new twist on the hit series.
A trailer for "Celebrity Traitors UK" has not yet been released, but the show is expected to be a highlight of the BBC's autumn programming. With its blend of celebrity participation and the classic "Traitors" format, it promises to be an engaging addition to British reality television.
