The BBC is set to premiere "Celebrity Traitors UK" in autumn 2025, a celebrity edition of the popular reality series "The Traitors." Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the show will feature 19 well-known personalities competing in a thrilling game of deception and strategy.
Filming took place at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, with production concluding in May 2025. The series comprises nine episodes, set to air over three weeks. Winkleman expressed her excitement about the cast, stating, "We're incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes."
The confirmed contestants include comedian Alan Carr, singer-songwriter Cat Burns, actress Celia Imrie, and television presenter Clare Balding. Other participants are historian David Olusoga, former England rugby player Joe Marler, and comedian Joe Wilkinson. The lineup also features television presenter Jonathan Ross, journalist Kate Garraway, and comedian Lucy Beaumont. Additionally, actor Nick Mohammed, social media personality Niko Omilana, singer-songwriter Paloma Faith, actress Ruth Codd, and actor Stephen Fry are set to join the competition. Olympic diver Tom Daley completes the star-studded cast.
In the game, celebrities will start as "Faithfuls," with a few secretly selected as "Traitors" aiming to deceive the rest. Through various missions, players will build a prize fund of up to £120,000, with celebrities competing to win up to £100,000 for charity. Regular "banishments" and "murders" will add suspense, culminating in either the Faithfuls or a remaining Traitor claiming the prize.
Fans can anticipate a blend of strategy, deception, and entertainment in this new twist on the hit series. While a trailer has not yet been released, updates will follow as the premiere date approaches.
